The Universal Technologies, Inc. corporate headquarters is located just south of Pittsburgh, PA. Our staff is dedicated to serving small businesses, and with combined experience exceeding 50 years, the core staff has in-depth knowledge on applying tomorrow's technology to business today.
Michael Moore, the owner, started Universal Technologies with nearly 15 years of business management experience under his belt. To this day he and his team have successfully built Universal Technologies into an industry leader by serving customers nationwide. He has managed advertising and marketing operations for companies both in the Washington, DC area, as well as Pittsburgh, PA. His educational background includes Sales and Marketing as well as computer technology. His role within Universal is to oversee the day to day operations, and to assure customer satisfaction. Michael currently resides in the Pittsburgh, PA area with his wife Annette and daughter Kirstie.
Annette joined Universal Technologies, Inc. in 2006 as the Project Manager. She attended the University of Pittsburgh and has an Associate Degree in Business Management. She has been in the Customer Service profession for over 25 years. Annette, along with her husband Michael, takes pride in their company and personally handles each customer’s project and ensures that it moves smoothly from the beginning through development and completion. She enjoys traveling, scrapbooking and spending time with her daughter, Kirstie and husband, Michael.
Tracy joined the Universal Technologies team in 2008 to assist in the progress in our rapidly growing company. She brought with her 18 years of vast knowledge in business leadership and management skills. Previous to joining Universal Technologies, Inc., Tracy earned her experience as an Advertising Executive, a Business Owner, and a Human Resources Director. In 2004, Tracy was recognized by the Pennsylvania Business Leadership Association, for her dedication, leadership and success rate in the role that she played in taking small businesses to a successful, stable and fiscally solid new level. She has a Bachelors Degree in both English and Journalism from West Liberty State College as well as post graduate business management studies. In addition to her studies in the United States, Tracy also studied in Spain at The University of Salamanca and The University of Valencia. Outside of the office, Tracy enjoys writing, traveling, and spending quality time with her two daughters, Madison and Brynn.
Mark has been employed by Universal Technologies since its inception. He is the senior member of our sales staff and is involved in many aspects of the day to day operations. Mark enjoys being able to work with funeral directors from across the country and has developed many stong relationships in the industry. Outside of the office Mark is an avid golfer, is a big supporter of the Penguins, Steelers, and Pirates, and is a fan and collector of many different styles of music. Mark has been married to his wife Diane for 10 years and they have two children, Lyndsey and Alyson.
Darci Sprowls joined Universal Technologies, Inc. in February of 2008 as part of the Sales Support Team. Prior to joining the team here, Darci was a flight attendant for US Airways until 2000, and from there she went on to a more grounded position in sales for both a major cosmetic company and then into management for a major retail company. Ms. Sprowls has a degree in Business Administration from Robert Morris College, where she was an active member in sports, speech and debate as well as a Little Sister of Tau Kappa Epsilon. In addition to her rounded experience, Darci adds character, enthusiasm and energy to the Universal Team. Outside of the office, Darci is a die hard Pittsburgh Steelers fan and enjoys the three B’s; beach, boating and Buffett. She was born, raised and still resides in Washington, PA, but has traveled the world many times over.
Scott has an Associates Degree in Computer Science and is working on an Associates Degree in Mathematics, and a Bachelors Degree in Computer Science with a Minor in Economics from the University of Pittsburgh. He can develop in many different web languages, including XHTML, PHP, JSP, CSS, SQL, FLASH, AJAX, and Ruby on Rails. Before he became a developer for UTI, he was a webmaster for the Computer Science Department at the University of Pittsburgh.
Ashley graduated from the University of Evansville in 2005, with a BS in Visual Communication and minors in Studio Art, Mass Communication and Business. After moving to Pittsburgh from Southern Indiana, she began working as a designer at Universal Technologies, Inc. Ashley enjoys Mexican food, novelty license plate covers, framing, watercolor painting, and traveling to Denver and Chicago.
Trent joined Universal Technologies in 2008 as a Programmer for our IT department. He graduated from ITT Technical Institute where he earned a degree in Applications and Programming. Prior to joining Universal, Trent was employed as a programmer for numerous companies as well as being self-employed as a Freelance Programmer. Trent brought with him a vast knowledge in PHP, mySQL, JavaSript, CSS, HTML, and C++ and has proven to be a true asset to this company on many levels.  |
